Hyderabad: Employees affected by GO 317 on Friday demanded that their case be prioritised ahead of the general transfers that the state government recently cleared.

These employees approached minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, chairman of the three-member committee set up to address the issues of GO 317 victims, with the demand.

The employees, led by state representative Harshavardhan Reddy, said that general transfers should only proceed after GO 317 victims are transferred to their local districts. Alternatively, they suggested, that during the general transfers, the GO 317 victims should be identified and transferred based on local criteria.

The association's state branch, represented by Sandeep and other leaders, emphasised the urgency of their situation and requested immediate action. Sandeep told Deccan Chronicle, "Our demand is simple – transfer us to our local districts before proceeding with general transfers, or include us in the general transfers based on local criteria."

Rajanarasimha assured them that the matter would be considered and suggested a meeting again in two days to discuss the issue.
