Goof-up by GWMC Raises a Storm

WARANGAL: A flexi put up by the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) without a Kakatiya Kalathoranam and Charminar in the Telangana state emblem created a stir among sections of people here in Hanamkonda on Tuesday.

The GWMC officials kept a flexi at the ‘LRS help desk’ for regularisation of unofficial layouts and plots. Reacting to the flexi, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao wondered whether the state government had decided to change the emblem. “If so who and when it was approved,” he asked

Action should be taken against officials who put up the flexi without the Kakatiya Kalathoranam and Charminar in the state’s official emblem, he demanded.

GWMC commissioner Ashwini issued showcause notices town planning department officials responsible for the goof-up.
