Hyderabad:Music concerts by Vande Mataram Srinivas on December 7, Rahul Sipligunj on December 8 and S.S. Thaman on December 9 will mark the closing ceremonies of the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, commemorating the first anniversary of the Congress government in Telangana.

Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday to finalise arrangements for the celebrations scheduled for December 7, 8 and 9 at Hussainsagar.

December 9 will feature the unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat, followed by a public meeting, cultural performances, drone and laser shows, fireworks and a concert headlined by S.S. Thaman at HMDA grounds near IMAX.

Authorities anticipate over one lakh attendees for the unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue. Drinking water stations, sanitation facilities and parking lots are being arranged and robust security measures are being put in place. A special control room will monitor events in real-time.

From Telangana Talli Flyover and P.V. Narasimha Rao Marg, five platforms are being arranged to host cultural programs. Around 120 stalls will showcase food, handicrafts and government exhibits. The route will be adorned with vibrant lights and selfie points are being installed to enhance the festive atmosphere.
