Harish Rao Invites Rahul Gandhi to Telangana to Show Farm Loan Waiver Failures
HYDERABAD: The BRS on Thursday called Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy a “cheater” and a “thief” who should now stop talking about the successful implementation of farm loan waiver, especially since Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, it claimed, had refused to endorse the scheme so far.
Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao, during an informal chat with reporters, said the Chief Minister should initiate meaningful discussions instead of holding ‘cheat chats’ with mediapersons and try to palm off falsehoods as truth. Harish Rao claimed that Rahul Gandhi had refused repeated invitations from Revanth Reddy to celebrate the farm loan waiver.
“Since he is not coming despite Revanth Reddy’s invites, I am inviting him to Telangana, I will receive him at the airport and take him to Kodangal or Siddipet to show how the waiver scheme has left out a large number of farmers,” Harish Rao said.
Harish Rao called the Congress government a “government of demolitions” and advised HYDRAA chief A.V. Ranganath that action should begin with demolition of the building housing HYDRAA office as it too is built on Hussainsagar’s prohibited land area.
He chided Revanth Revanth for alleging that BRS MLC Kavitha got bail because the BRS was in cahoots with the BJP ruling at the Centre. Similarly, we can talk about the ‘cash-for-vote’ scandal involving Revanth Reddy and that he got bail only because of BJP intervention, but we will not do so.
