Hyderabad:The Telangana High Court on Wednesday granted regular bail to Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, an accused in the murder case of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. Uday Kumar Reddy was incarcerated in Chanchalguda prison since his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on March 14, 2023.

Reddy had previously filed multiple bail petitions before the CBI court and the High Court, all of which were rejected. However, the High Court granted bail on his latest petition, noting that most of the other accused in the case had been granted either anticipatory or regular bail, and one had even been accepted as an approver.

As part of the bail conditions, the High Court directed Reddy to execute a personal bond of `2 lakh, along with two sureties of the same amount, to the satisfaction of the principal special judge for CBI cases in Hyderabad. Additionally, Reddy is required to report to the station house officer (SHO) of Pulivendula police station in Kadapa District every Sunday between 10 am and 5 pm.
