Hyderabad:Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha on Saturday directed officials to provide the required infrastructure to start classes in the nursing colleges affiliated with the 15 recently established medical colleges. “These nursing colleges are essential to meeting healthcare demands,” he said.

Rajanarsimha was speaking at a review meeting at the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust office in Hyderabad, focusing on ensuring essential facilities and finalising admission procedures. Health secretary Dr Christina Z. Chongthu and R.V. Karnan, commissioner of family welfare, provided insights on the status and needs of the nursing colleges.

Rajanarasimha has also mandated that amenities be promptly arranged for students. He urged officials to ensure a smooth admission process and prioritise any pending infrastructure.
