Nalgonda: At least five devotees sustained minor injuries when they tried to escape an attack by honey bees at the Sri Parvathi Jadala Lingeshwara Swamy temple in Cheruvugattu, Narketpally mandal, on Sunday.
The bees were reportedly irritated by the smoke from oil lamps lit by devotees during Kartika Masam celebrations.
The incident occurred when the devotees were performing puja at a Shiva Lingam located on a large boulder. In their rush to escape from the bees, some slipped on the steps and sustained minor injuries. First aid was provided to the injured devotees at the temple's executive officer’s office on the hill shrine.
