Hyderabad: 12 arrested in Kalapathar murder case
Hyderabad: The Shahalibanda police on Monday arrested 12 persons involved in a murder and two cases of attempt to murder that took place in Kalapathar on June 18.
Police said, the accused had a dispute over a financial issue in Mecca Colony. "They brutally stabbed Faqruddin alias Shimlan, a resident of Basharathnagar, to death who tried to intervene them on June 18,” the police said.
“Syed Faqruddin was a passerby and tried to stop the assailants who were involved in the brawl. In the melee, he was stabbed by accused Mohammad Asad and his associates, Hussain Pasha and Md Subhan Khan,” DCP (South) Sneha Mehra said adding Asad was involved in more than 14 criminal cases.
A murder case has been registered against the 12 accused persons.
