Advocate on Stroll Robbed and Stabbed

Hyderabad: A 48-year-old man was stabbed in his hand during a robbery attempt by two youths near a theatre complex at 5.10 am on Tuesday, Khairatabad police said.
According to Khairatabad detective inspector Ch Saidulu, two youths on a two-wheeler that did not have number plates attempted to rob Kalyan Vamshikar, an advocate who was on his morning walk.
The two suspects snatched his phone. When Vamshikar resisted, the duo stabbed him in the hand. Vamshikar called the police who reached the spot and helped him to a hospital.
The inspector said that with the help of CCTV footage, the police had identified the accused as residents of Secunderabad. Further investigation was underway, the police said.
