Hyderabad: In view of ongoing preparations for Ganesh immersions, Milad-Un-Nabi and other events lined up in the upcoming week, city police commissioner C.V. Anand on Thursday visited the Southeast Zone and East Zone, which are the most sensitive zones due to their mixed population.

Giving freedom to the officers, Anand instructed them to maintain watch over unscrupulous, communal elements, counsel communal rowdy-sheeters, history-sheeters and directed the zonal heads to bind over those likely to disrupt communal harmony. The commissioner urged the police personnel to be motivated and firm while doing their duties, mentally prepared to handle any situation and told them that he would be there to support their efforts and protect them.
