Hyderabad: BJYM activists staged protest before the Film Chamber of Commerce at Filmnagar and burned the effigy of film actor Prakash Raj for his alleged offensive comments against Hindus over the Tirupati laddu prasadam adulteration issue. They also demanded that the Movie Artists Association (MAA) remove his primary membership of Prakash Raj for hurting the sentiments of Hindus.
BJYM state president Sevella Mahender said that Prakash Raj had made it a habit to speak against Hindus and called his comments on the laddu prasadam row shameful. Mahender demanded an unconditional apology from the actor. If the MAA did not act against him, BJYM activists would not allow him for shootings in the state nor screening of his movies, he said.
