Hyderabad: Cops book youth after money hunt video goes viral

Hyderabad: A youth landed in trouble after a video surfaced showing him throwing a bundle of Rs 20,000 in cash on the side of the Outer Ring Road (ORR), calling it a money hunt and inviting viewers to retrieve it.

As the video went viral, the Ghatkesar police registered a case against him.

Social media users expressed outrage over the act, urging law enforcement agencies to take strict action. Some pointed out that the act could lead to accidents on the ORR which is often busy with speeding vehicles.

The police registered a case under Cr.No:659/2024 U/s 125,292 BNS and Sec 8(b) of National Highway Act and investigation is Progress, said SHO Ghatkesar.
