Hyderabad Drug Bust: 3 Held, Hashish Oil Seized

 Hyderabad: The Maheshwaram special operations team (SOT) and Adibatla police seized 3.8 kg of hashish oil worth Rs 31 lakh from three persons who were smuggling it to the city from Andhra Pradesh.

The accused were Thalapureddy Sudheer, a driver, Demullua, an agricultural worker, and Kesamshetty Shankar Rao, a private company employee, all natives of Andhra Pradesh. Police are searching for the absconding supplier.

Police said Sudheer was introduced to someone in the illicit drug trade and the trio agreed to smuggle the contraband. They sourced the hashish oil from Allamchettu Hills, 70 km from their village, and travelled to the outskirts of Hyderabad intending to sell it there, the Rachakonda police commissionerate said in a press release on Saturday.
