Hyderabad: Human chain formed in solidarity for Hindus in Bangladesh

Hyderabad: City-based Hindu groups formed a human chain in solidarity for the Hindus in Bangladesh on Saturday morning near the General Post Office at Abids, condemning the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.

N.C. Padmasree, organiser said, “There are around 50 women who took part in the human chain, along with other men and youth. We demand that the Bangladesh government protect the Hindus there.”

Usha Rani Malyal, a resident of Uppal, said, “This is the most heinous act, based on religion, Hindus who are the minority in that country are being targeted.”

Chitavatla Jyothi, who was at the protest, said, “We are here to show our support for the Hindus living there. If the atrocities are not stopped, we will intensify our protest. The police ensured the traffic flow was not disrupted and the event went on peacefully.
