Hyderabad: Man Dies by Suicide, Alleges Police Harassment

 Hyderabad: A 25-year-old person T. Ashok, who had an affair with a police constable's daughter in Jogulamba Gadwal district, died by suicide in Kurnool. Before his death, he released a video alleging that the police harassed him for having an affair with a constable's daughter and that’s why he was ending his life by suicide.

Ashok is a resident of Jukkal of Vaddepalli mandal in Gadwal district. He went to Kurnool on Tuesday afternoon and stayed in a hotel where he died by suicide. However, the family performed their daughter's engagement with another person two days ago. Ashok might have been depressed over the incident and took the extreme step.

Kurnool police informed parents of the victim, registered a suspicious death case and shifted the body to Jukkal. The police further said that even after Ashok tried to disturb the engagement function, the constable's family did not file any complaint, and the police did not question or harass Ashok.
