BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy summoned for questioning

Hyderabad: Banjara Hills police issued notices to BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, who has been booked for misbehaving with Banjara Hills SHO K.M. Raghavendra and obstructing his duties. In the notice of appearance, police asked Kaushik Reddy to appear in person before Banjara Hills investigation officer Basheer Ahmed, detective inspector (DI), at 10 am on December 27.

A special crime team of Banjara Hills arrested the BRS MLA on December 5 from his house in Kondapur. Police booked strong criminal charges against Kushik Reddy, his supporter Manne Govardhan Reddy and others who barged into the police station, misbehaved with the SHO and threatened him on the police station premises on December 4. They also seized the MLA's car.

After the incident, Raghavendra filed a complaint against Kaushik Reddy and his supporters. Based on his complaint, the detective department of Banjara Hills police booked cases for unlawful assembly, using force, obstructing the duties of a public servant, criminal intimidation, wrongful restraint and confinement, public nuisance and rioting against the MLA.
