Hyderabad: Railways Generate Rs 17.5 Lakh from EV Cargo

Hyderabad: Electric automobiles were loaded on to new modified goods rakes from the Balanagar shed on Thursday, bound for Bijwasan station in Delhi, 1,770 km away. The cargo generated Rs.17.5 lakh for the railways, according to a statement on Saturday. These rakes — a line of bogies —are specifically designed for transporting vehicles. The vehicles were manufactured at Rajpur of Jadcherla.

Senior officials, including divisional railway manager Lokesh Vishnoi, senior divisional commercial manager Anirudh Pamar Z., and senior divisional operations manager V. Vidyadhar oversaw the loading process.
