Hyderabad registers 4,621,333 new voters

HYDERABAD: The draft and final electoral rolls of service and general voters in Hyderabad district was published on Tuesday, putting the number of voters at 4,621,333 across 15 Assembly constituencies. This includes 2,353,124 male voters, 2,286,866 women electors, and 343 belonging to the third gender.
These lists were part of the special summary revision (SSR) process, which is done regularly to update voter records.
Nampally, Khairatabad and Chandrayangutta had the most voters, according to the data. Since the rolls published in February 2024, 1,81,879 voters were added and 1,29,884 names removed due to reasons such as relocation, duplication, or ineligibility. This led to a net increase of 51,995 voters, a 1.14 per cent growth in the district’s voter base. Chandrayangutta saw a 1.66 per cent increase in voters numbers, and Charminar 1.53 per cent.
The GHMC’s election branch which is working under the direction of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), has completed the final publication of the service voters who include government employees who are away on duty.
