Hyderabad: RTA Raids Vehicles Ferrying Students for Second Day

 Hyderabad: The Telangana Road Transport Authorities, in collaboration with the traffic department, conducted extensive raids and inspections across the city for the second consecutive day, focusing on the safety of school buses and autorickshaws transporting students.

During these inspections, officials discovered several safety violations, including school buses lacking fire extinguishers and first aid boxes. The joint operation on Wednesday led to seven EIB buses being booked for operating without fitness certificates, tax, and for overloading students. Two vehicles were seized due to non-payment of tax and lack of fitness certificates. Four motor cabs were booked for overloading and operating without fitness certificates. One Light Goods Vehicle (LGV) was booked for operating without tax and fitness certificates. One out-of-state construction vehicle was booked and two illicit vehicles and two autorickshaws were also booked for various violations.
