Hyderabad to Celebrate Guru Nanak’s Birth Anniversary Grandly
Hyderabad:A mass congregation, ‘Vishaal Deewan’, will be held at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds from 11 am to 4 pm on Friday to celebrate the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
The event, organized by the prabhandak committees of the Gurudwara Saheb at Secunderabad and Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Afzalgunj, is expected to draw a large number of Sikh devotees and people from other faiths.
Reputed Ragi Jathas (religious preachers), including Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Singhji from the Amritsar Golden Temple, Bhai Amarjeet Singh from Patiala, Hazuri Ragi Jathas, Bhai Hari Singhji, Bhai Charanjeet Singhji, among others, will recite Gurbani Keertans and Katha and throw light on the teachings of Guru Nanak.
A free community kitchen, "Guru Ka Langar," will be organised to serve thousands of devotees. Additionally, medical camps will be set up at the venue to provide healthcare services to the attendees.
