HYDRAA Commissioner Inspects Restoration of Bengaluru Lake
Hyderabad: HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath, along with officials and ‘Lakeman of India’ Anand Malligavad inspected the rejuvenation and restoration work at Bengaluru’s Doddathoguru lake Wastewater is treated naturally through multiple stages, and released into the lake.
Malligavad had met with Ranganath here on October 10 to discuss water purification and lake restoration. He briefed the authorities in how the lakes have been developed in different stages of natural preparation and filtration, and draining the water into the lakes post-filtration.
Later, HYDRAA team held a meeting with Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) including its CEO Raghavan and director B.K. Pavitra.
HYDRAA officials were briefed on the KTCDA Act 2014, and discussed how through Karnataka government’s “Dishaank” app, people can easily find out the complete details of the land and who is the rightful owner.
VIMOS Technocrats’ director Younus Pervez, at the meeting, explained how the company was working towards lake restoration and rejuvenation.
HYDRAA teams also studied the procedures followed by KTCDA in lake encroachment removal. CEO Raghavan explained the procedures involved in the development of the ponds such as preparation of DPR, study of it by the technical team, and subsequent execution of the works to HYDRAA officials.
