HYDRAA Effect: Criminal Cases Against Six Officials

Hyderabad: Actions have been initiated against officials who permitted unauthorized structures within the buffer zones of lakes.
Following a recommendation by HYDRAA, the Cyberabad Police have filed criminal cases against six officials.
HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has addressed a letter to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, urging criminal charges against the officials for their role in facilitating the encroachment of lakes.
The officials included are Nizamapet Municipal Commissioner Ramakrishna, Chandanagar GHMC Deputy Commissioner Sudamsh, Bachupally Tahsildar Pul Singh, Medchal-Malkajgiri Land Records Assistant Srinivasulu, HMDA Assistant Planning Officer Sudheer Kumar, and HMDA City Planner Raj Kumar.
