HYDRAA issues notices to Jayabheri constructions
Hyderabad: The HYDRAA has directed Jayabheri Properties, a construction major owned by Telugu actor and politician Murali Mohan, to remove encroachments in the full tank level (FTL) and buffer zone of the Ranglalkunta in Nanakramguda in the city. As HYDRAA is not yet to be empowered to serve notices, officials sent a formal communication to the company.
HYDRAA officials, including its commissioner A.V. Ranganath, visited the lake on Friday and found that Jayabheri Orange County had raised sheds in the FTL and buffer zone of the lake. This society is located in the lane heading to the Hyatt in Nanakramguda and is home for some entrepreneurs and a Tollywood actress.
The officials told Jayabheri that if the unauthorised structures are not removed in 15 days, HYDRAA would raze them and initiate action. The inspection was undertaken based on a complaint.
Residents of Jayabheri Orange County, however, denied any encroachment.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Viiveck Verma, a resident, said: “I spoke to the builder. He denied that there was an encroachment. We will cross-check again and remove if the sheds are in the FTL or buffer zone of the lake.”
Regarding reports in social media that the company had issued a statement saying it would remove the encroachments, a HYDRAA official said: "We did not receive any official communication from Jayabheri Properties Private Limited or Jayabheri Group that they will remove the encroachments."
