Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday urged the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to ensure proper amenities to the staff working in Telangana social welfare residential and Gurukul educational institutions.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, he said the teaching staff and other employees were facing problems because of the new work timings starting from 5 am and concluding at 9 pm. Terming the timings as unscientific, he said the staff was facing stress resulting in unnecessary health problems.

Stating that there were no proper buildings and infrastructure for gurukul educational institutions, Sanjay said teaching staff was forced to leave after 9.30 pm after completion of students study hours due to non-availability of permanent residential quarters for them in districts.

He requested the State government to fill up vacant posts in these institutions. Referring to pending DA, TA and PRC allowances to the police constables, Sanjay urged the government to clear the dues at the earliest. The State government was clearing the dues of police constables in all the districts except for Karimnagar, he added.
