Inflow to Nagarjuna Sagar increases to over 3 lakh cusecs

Nalgonda: Inflow to Nagarjuna Sagar Project (NSP) was recorded as 3,36,543 cusecs on Friday morning, which was one lak cusecs increase compared to the inflow recorded on Thursday ie 2,08,917 cusecs.

Outflow from the project is 23,272 cusecs including 6,000 cusecs water release to Nagarjuna Sagar right canal.
Current water level is 544.1 feet, which was at 530.9 feet on Thursday. NSP has received 30 TMCs of water on Thursday and 25 TMCs on Wednesday.
If current level of inflow continued, gates of the projects likely to be operate in three days to release the water to the downstream.
Water would be released to left canal of Nagarjuna Sagar at 4 am on Friday.
After releasing the water to left canal, ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Koamtireddy Venkat Reddy, Pongutei Srinivas Reddy and Thummala Nageshwar Rao will address the media in Vijaya Vihar at Nandipadu.
