IPASE Results Declared; Girls Outshine Boys

 Hyderabad: Results for the Intermediate Public Advance Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) for the first and second years were announced by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on https://tgbie.cgg.gov.in and https://results.cgg.gov.in on Monday. Students can download their memorandum of marks from the official websites. As the physical mark sheet will not be provided separately, students have to download the online copy and keep it as a record till the board issues the pass certificate (with marks).

The cumulative pass percentage (including those who passed in March) was 74 per cent for first year students who appeared for general courses, as against last year’s 73 per cent.

For students of vocational courses, the cumulative pass percentage was 67 per cent, much lower than previous two years, which was 72 per cent.

The cumulative pass percentage of second year students was the lowest in three years. While it was 81% for general course students in 2022, 78% in 2023, this year it was 77 per cent. In vocational courses, 78 per cent students passed this year, as compared to 80 per cent in 2023.

In all 2, 54, 498 candidates appeared for first year general courses and 18,913 for vocational courses. Of them, 1, 62,520 students (63.86 per cent) passed the general courses and 8,437 (53.24 per cent) passed the vocational courses. About 82,910 students in the general course received Grade A (75 per cent marks and above), while 3,357 received Grade A in vocational courses.

While 70.26 per cent girls passed the exam in general and 69.64 per cent in vocational, only 58.39 per cent boys passed in general and 43.76 per cent in vocational courses.

Approximately, 70 students were caught for malpractice during the exam.

For the second year, total candidates were 1,38,477 in general courses and 15, 136 in vocational courses, while respective pass percentage was 43.77 per cent and 51.12 per cent in vocational. The cumulative pass percentage was 76.69 per cent in general courses and 78.06 per cet in vocational courses. About 47.54 per cent girls passed the general courses in second year whereas it was 57.67 per cent in vocational courses, while only 41.37 per cent boys passed the general courses and 48.67 per cent in vocational courses.

About 78 students were caught for malpractice during the exam.

Meanwhile, Tele-MANAS (Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking across the States) was initiated by the commissioner for health, medical and family welfare and mission director (NHM), Telangana.
