Kaleshwaram SI Booked for Sexual Assault Charges

Warangal: Kaleshwaram sub-inspector of police Bhavani Sen Goud has been dismissed from the service after a departmental inquiry found him guilty of raping a woman constable in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. Multi zone-1 Inspector General of Police (IG) A.V. Ranganath issued the orders regarding the same on Wednesday as per Article 311 of the Indian Constitution.

Goud was booked under SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act following a victim’s complaint with SP Kiran Khare, who ordered a probe into the matter. It was found that the SI had sexually assaulted the constable at gunpoint while he was on duty. In past too, Goud was suspended for misbehaving with a woman when he was working as SI at Rebbena police station in the Asifabad district.
