Hyderabad: Congress Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy claimed that BRS leaders were visiting party MLC K. Kavitha to prevent her from turning approver in the Delhi liquor scam case.

In recent days, K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao's close aide MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy had met her at Tihar Jail.

"They seem desperate to ensure she doesn't turn approver in the liquor scam case," alleged Srinivas Reddy, while speaking to media personnel at CLP office here on Saturday.

Highlighting the legal troubles surrounding Chandrashekar Rao, Srinivas Reddy said that it was for the first time in the country that a former chief minister has been called for a judicial inquiry. "KCR has managed to

avoid trial so far, unlike P.V. Narasimha Rao. But KCR can't escape forever," he warned.

Srinivas Reddy accused Chandrashekar Rao of financially mismanaging Telangana, claiming that the state has been burdened with debts amounting to Rs 7 lakh crore. "KCR has pushed the future of Telangana into uncertainty," he stated.

Srinivas Reddy accused the KCR family of blocking the Dharani portal and grabbing thousands of crores worth of land. "KCR’s family has exploited their power for personal gain," he alleged.
