Hyderabad: BRS leader K. Kavitha approached the special court for CBI in Delhi on Monday, seeking default bail in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. In her petition, Kavitha argued that the investigating agency had failed to file a complete chargesheet within the stipulated 60-day period, thereby entitling her to default bail.

Special CBI court judge Kaveri Baweja has requested the CBI's response to Kavitha's bail application, allowing the agency four days to present its stance. The court has adjourned the matter to July 12.

Moreover, the trial court has reserved its decision on whether to take cognizance of the third chargesheet filed by the CBI in the Excise Policy case. The court's orders on this matter will be pronounced on July 15.
