Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday appealed to the people to hoist the National Flag at their residences to promote unity and integrity as part of the call for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After hoisting the National Flag at his residence with his wife Kavya, Kishan Reddy said the Centre had been conducting the Har Ghar Tiranga programme for three years. The programme started on August 9 and will continue till August 15.

He asked eminent personalities in different fields to hoist the National Flag at their respective houses to motivate others to participate in this programme.

BJP MP D.K. Aruna flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga rally from NTR Stadium to Telangana Chowrasta at her home district of Mahbubnagar.

Referring to the political crisis in Bangladesh and turmoil in other neighbouring countries, Aruna said it was high-time for all Indians to display the unity by taking part in the Tiranga rally and hoisting the National Flag on the top of their houses to mark the Independence Day.

Hundreds of Mahila Morcha activists led by its president Dr Shilpa Reddy conducted a two-wheeler rally from Kothapet to Tarnaka as part of the third edition of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.
