Kishan Reddy: BJP Leaders Will Stay in Musi Vicinity as Part of CM’s Challenge
Hyderabad: The BJP has accepted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s challenge and announced that 20 senior leaders of the party will have food with the people and sleep in 20 habitations adjoining the Musi river on Saturday. This is intended to send a firm message to the state government against demolishing houses of poor in Musi rejuvenation project and also to boost the confidence levels of the people.
Addressing a press conference, state BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy pointed out that Revanth Reddy had challenged the BJP leaders to sleep in bastis along the river for at least one day.
“We are accepting your challenge and if required the party leaders are ready to stay in those bastis for three months,” he said.
He accused Revanth Reddy of resorting to false and misleading campaigns in Maharashtra, which is set for Assembly elections.
Party leader Dr Kasam Venkateshwarlu said that senior leaders Kishan Reddy, Dr K Laxman, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Etala Rajendar, N. Ramchander Rao, Chada Suresh Reddy, K.S. Ratnam, B.B. Patil, Prof. Seetaram Naik, Yendala Laxminarayana, Venkata Ramana Reddy, Gujjula Premender Reddy, andN.V.S.S. Prabhakar, among others will take part in the basti midra programme. They will reach the specified locations in Musi adjoining areas at 4 pm of November 16 and stay till 9 am on the next day.
Kishan Reddy, at the press conference, said that Telangana society is aware of how Congress had ditched them as regards farm loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa, and additional bonus on procurement of food grains. The Congress is trying to give a misleading picture to people of Maharashtra that people in Congress-ruled states were very happy.
Charging that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had similarly misled people with provocative statements, false promises, misleading assurances, Kishan Reddy said that the BRS government did not give jobs to a single person despite issuing seven job notifications.
Charging that the law and order had completely failed in the state, the transfer and appointment of police officers have been taking place under instructions from MIM leaders, Kishan Reddy expressed shock at the growing incidents of attacks on Hindu temples in the state.
On the Congress government’s `Praja Vijoyotsava’ celebrations to mark one year in power, Kishan Reddy said that the BJP as an opposition party would conduct mass education programmes on how the Congress government had cheated them in the last one year.
