Kishan Reddy Urges BJP Workers to Enrol 100 Members Each
Hyderabad: State BJP president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy asked party workers to enroll at least 100 party members each. This would help the BJP, which secured a 36 per cent vote share in the Lok Sabha elections, to come to power in Telangana.
He was speaking at the launch of the party’s membership, giving a missed call to the party phone number to enroll himself as a member. He asked party workers to treat each polling booth as a focus centre.
Kishan Reddy urged the party workers to enroll prominent personalities, professionals and community elders, irrespective of their caste and creed.
BJP Parliamentary Board member and OBC Morcha president Dr K. Laxman pointed out that the Narendra Modi government had introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Parliament at a time the Opposition was suspecting that the BJP with a reduced majority in the Lok Sabha could not take bold decisions.
BJP vice president and Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Aruna said that the BJP was the only party which never craved power. “To fulfill the ideals of separate Telangana, the BJP must come to power in the state,” she said.
Arwind Menon, the incharge for membership drive, Chandrasekhar, general secretary, Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajendar, former MLC N, Ramchander Rao and others took part in the meeting where TV artists, ex-servicemen and prominent personalities from different fields joined the BJP.
