Officials said on Friday that around 1,200 properties would be affected by road-widening and construction of stations. Notifications have been issued for 400 properties so far under the Land Acquisition Act 2013.

The road is being widened to 100 feet in accordance with the GHMC master plan, while the road will be widened up to 120 feet at the stations as also at places where the track will take a curve. The road is between 50 feet and 60 feet wide from Darulshifa junction to Shalibanda junction, while is 80 feet from Shalibanda junction to Chandrayangutta.

Reddy told Deccan Chronicle that apart from conventional survey methods, they had used Lidar drone survey to get a 3D view of the affected properties. Physical inspection is also being done by HAML engineers for structural valuation of the affected properties. All the 103 religious and other sensitive structures on this stretch will be protected through innovative engineering solutions and strategic location of metro pillars, he said.

Owners of the affected parties can seek clarifications and file objections in the office of the LAO, HAML, during the stipulated period.

The completion of the land acquisition process as per the L.A. Act is likely to take up to eight months, he added.
