Leaders must shun political rivalry post elections: Bandi Sanjay
KARIMNAGAR: Leaders should shun personal grudge and political rivalry against one another after elections and must work in tandem for the development of people, said Union minister and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
After witnessing a huge number of Congress activists at the programme, Sanjay said, “after a long time in Telangana we are witnessing that a programme is being held following protocol which is a very good sign. Even officials are also very happy.”
Accompanied by Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam and former MLA Bodiga Shoba, the minister laid a foundation stone for a double road from Malial chowrasta to Kacharam village at a cost of Rs 25 crore in Choppadandi constituency of Karimnagar district on Saturday.
“People are aware of how the situation used to be during the BRS government. It never followed the protocol and insulted leaders of other parties. It diverted funds that were allotted by the central government and worked only for the sake of commissions,” he alleged.
Politics is meant for elections but should not become hurdles for development activities. The central government is ready to extend its support for development of the constituency.
“It gives me immense happiness by participating in a development programme irrespective of political parties and laying a foundation stone for the construction of a double road at a cost of Rs 25 crore sanctioned by the central government,” he said.
He expressed thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and road transport minister Nithin Gadkari for sanctioning the maximum amount of CRIF funds to Telangana.
