Liquor Worth Rs 2.25 Lakh Seized on Telangana Express

 Hyderabad: The excise police along with DTF and task force teams seized 76 liquor bottles worth Rs 2.25 lakh being smuggled on the Telangana Express at Secunderabad on Tuesday. In one case, the team apprehended one Mettu Sandeep of Rangareddy district, who was carrying 24 liquor bottles. The bottles were identified as originating from Haryana. The team seized another 46 liquor bottles which were traced to a CRPF canteen in Jammu and Kashmir. Another team recovered six liquor bottles, said excise enforcement director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy and assistant commissioner Anil Kumar Reddy.

Encroachments Cleared from Diamond Point to Bowenpally Market

Hyderabad: Officials removed encroachments on the stretch from Diamond Point, mainly in front of a school, to Bowenpally market at Secunderabad. The drive was conducted under the supervision of additional commissioner Vishwaprasad, traffic DCP Rahul Hegde and cantonment officials.
