Mahabubnagar: Four killed, five injured in car accident

Mahabubnagar: Four people were killed in an accident on Thursday after the car they were traveling in collided with a DCM vehicle. The mishap occurred near Thatikonda in Bhuthpur mandal, Mahabubnagar on Thursday.
Venkata Ramarao (43), a resident of Jillelaguda in Hyderabad, had recently returned from Australia. He, along with his family members—including his mother Suvarna Laxmi, father Urusula Kempurao (75), sisters Avula Ambika, brother-in-law Avula Ashok Yadav (48), nephew Avula Shreya Agranya, niece Avula Akshitha, and friend Venkataramana (43)—went to Tirupati in a car. On their return, the car met with an accident, hitting a DCM vehicle. Venkataramana, Kempurao, and Ashok Yadav were killed on the spot, while the other five were injured and shifted to a hospital in Mahabubnagar. Venkata Ramarao succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Bhuthpur SI Chandrashekhar said a case has been registered, and the investigation has begun.
