Telangana Records Hottest Day of Year 2024 With 47.2 Degrees Temperature

Hyderabad: Telangana on Thursday recorded its hottest day of the year so far as the temperature touched 47.2°C.
Telangana Weatherman in his tweet posted on X, "HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR. Blistering heatwave across North, East Telangana with Bheemaram in Mancherial recorded mammoth 47.2°C beating the May 1st week record."
According to Telangana State Develpoment Planning Society (TSDPS), Bheemaram in Mancherial recorded 47.2°C whereas Bhadadri Kothagudem touched 47.1°C. Three districts in Telangana - Peddapalli, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad and Khammam crossed 46°C mark. Meanwhile, Hyderabad recorded 43.3°C on Thursday.
India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, forecast light to Moderate Rain or Thunder showers at isolated places over Telangana for May 31. There was no warning issued for the State for May 31.
For Hyderabad, the Met department has forecast cloudy sky on May 31 with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 41°C and 29°C respectively.
IMD has forecast rains in Hyderabad on June 1.
