Milk Free for All as Tanker Overturns

Nalgonda: Residents of Nandipadu came out with buckets, cans, plastic pots and bottles to literally milk an opportunity that presented itself, when a milk tanker overturned at their village on Monday.

The tanker, belonging to a dairy farm, was carrying 10,000 litres of milk and was heading towards Nakrekal from Miryalaguda. At Nandipadu, the driver lost control of the vehicle that overturned. The crash damaged the valve of the tank and milk started flooding the road.

Residents who noticed this rushed in to collect the milk.

The driver was injured and was shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Police went to the spot, and lifted the tanker back on its wheels with a crane.
