Hyderabad: Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, incharge of the Nalgonda constituency, helped party candidate Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy secure a record margin of victory of 5.75 lakh votes.

Uttam Kumar Reddy had himself won by over 1.1 lakh votes in the Huzurnagar segment during the state polls last year. He also secured a majority of 98,000 votes in Kodad, represented by his wife N, Patmavathi Reddy.

It was sweet revenge for Uttam Kumar Reddy, who had fought against the odds to win the Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat in 2019 by 25,682 votes, fighting a BRS and BJP wave.

Ministers Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy (Khammam), Damodar Rajanarasimha (Zaheerabad), D. Sridhar Babu (Peddapalli), Tummala Nageswara Rao (Mahbubabad) and Jupally Krishna Rao (Nagarkurnool) ensured victory for the party from the constituencies for which they were given charge.

However, ministers Seethakka (Adilabad), Konda Surekha (Medak) and Ponnam Prabhakar (Karimnagar) could not repeat the feat of their predecessors.
