PM to Inaugurate Charlapalli Railway Station Today
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the Charlapalli railway station, the fourth major passenger terminal in the twin cities, on Monday. Once operational, this satellite terminal station, boasting world-class facilities, will boost commute to Hyderabad as 25 important trains will operate from here daily.
This will also reduce congestion at Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Kacheguda railway stations and provide relief to thousands of commuters who stay nearby.
Charlapalli in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district has been developed along with the provision of a second entry with a cost of around Rs 413 crore.
South Central Railway (SCR) is organising an inaugural function at the station. In attendance will be Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, state minister D. Sridhar Babu and BJP MP Etala Rajendar.
The terminal has been developed at a cost of Rs 430 crore and it will provide modern passenger amenities and convert them into growth centers. It will house ultra-modern facilities that will on par with those available at airports.
Modernising of stations is integral to the Amrit Bharat station scheme. Meanwhile, the upgrading of the Secunderabad railway station is also progressing.
