Mom, Toddler Run Over by Drunk Driver in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A drunk lorry driver rammed into four vehicles and ran over a mother and a daughter who were on a two-wheeler, killing them both, on Cheguru crossroads at 12.40 am on Sunday. Kothur circle inspector Narsimha Rao identified the victims as Kavya, 25, and Ananya, one-year-old. Two others, Saikrishna and Niharika, four, were severely injured. Two persons in the autorickshaw sustained minor injuries.

Police said the driver rammed into two two-wheelers, an autorickshaw and a tempo. The lorry was coming from Karnataka. The driver, Sheik Mohammed, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
