Hyderabad: Youths tied up a theft suspect to an electric pole, but fed him pulihora when he told them that he was hungry. Police said Teegala Ganesh was caught red-handed while he was stealing from a house at Ellareddygudem of Narketpally.
Police said that as the people were busy with the immersion of Ganesh idols, he barged into a house and tried to steal money. Some youths caught him and tied him to a pole and beat him up.
When he prayed for food as he was hungry, a youth fed him pulihora which was prepared as prasadam at a Ganesh pandal. Later, villagers handed him over to the Narketpally police.
