New Nursing Colleges in Telangana: Rs 338 Cr Budget for 13 Institutions

Hyderabad:Approving the proposals sent in by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), the Telangana government has accorded administrative sanction for establishment of 13 government nursing colleges, to be built at the cost of `338 crore at `26 crore per establishment.

The intake capacity will be 60 students per college and they will be attached to the existing government medical colleges.

The nursing colleges will be established in Jangaon, Jayashankar-Bhupalapally, Karimnagar, Komaram Bheem-Asifabad, Nirmal, Ramagundam, Medak, Quthbullapur (Medchal-Malkajgiri), Mulugu, Narayanpet, Maheshwaram (Rangareddy), Narsampet (Warangal) and Yadadri-Bhongiri.

The civil works including construction and procurement of equipment has been entrusted with Telangana Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TGMSIDC).
