New Officials Take Charge at GHMC, Water Body
Hyderabad: Amrapali Kata on Wednesday took charge as the commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Earlier, she was GHMC additional commissioner.for a brief period.
Speaking to reporters after taking charge, the GHMC chief said her “focus will also be on quick grievance redressal.”
As part of a mega bureaucratic reshuffle, the state government on Monday appointed her as the commissioner of GHMC, with full additional charge (FAC). Former GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose was transferred as the energy secretary.
K. Ashok Reddy took charge as the managing director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB). Reddy had earlier served as the executive director and finance director of HMWS&SB for two years (2009 to 2011). He also served as GHMC additional commissioner from 2012 to 2014 and he also worked as the managing director of Musi River Development Authority in 2019.
A.V. Ranganath took charge as the chief of GHMC’s directorate of enforcement, vigilance and disaster management (EV&DM). Earlier, he served as Hyderabad joint commissioner (traffic), Warangal City Police Commissioner, Joint Commissioner of Police - Crimes and SIT and also as inspector-general of police, multi-zone-1, Hyderabad.
