Hyderabad: The BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, on Tuesday predicted a bright future for the party, expressing confidence that the BRS will once again return to power in Telangana, and when this happens, it will stay in power for 15 years.

Chandrashekar Rao was addressing zilla parishad chairpersons, and chairmen from the BRS at his farm house at Erravalli village. Tuesday’s meeting was one is a series of such events the BRS president will be addressing as part of an exercise to keep up the morale of party leaders and workers, especially after the loss of power in the Assembly elections, and wipeout in the Lok Sabha polls, followed by a series of desertions of his party MLAs into the ruling Congress party fold.

Complimenting the BRS zilla parishad chiefs for their hard work for the party, he said the BRS will create a new line of leadership and will only grow stronger. “Everything was going well during the BRS rule. It is the same officers who were then who are now holding various positions. Then why is the state facing power and drinking water supply problems, law and order, and other problems? It is because the Congress government is inefficient and is finding excuses not to continue the various programmes, schemes, and measures implemented by the BRS government,” he said.

“The Congress has a habit. It’s activities will bring its own downfall because of its revolting behaviour. We saw this after the TD lost power in unified AP, and Congress came to power. We should not dwell on those who left the party after enjoying power for long time in the BRS. We should be patient, and we will come back to power,” he said.
