ACB Nabs Revenue Inspector In for Accepting Rs 15K Bribe

Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a junior assistant revenue inspector of Nirmal town Adilabad when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000.

On Wednesday, the accused officer M.A. Shakeer Khan was caught red-handed when he accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant to obtain regularisation orders pertaining to the regional director, municipal administration, Warangal district.

The tainted bribe amount of Rs 15,000 was recovered from the possession of the AO at this instance. The fingers of both hands of the AO yielded positive in the chemical test.

The accused Shakeer Khan was arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Karimnagar. The case is under investigation, ACB stated in a press release.
