Surekha emphasised that all development works should ensure the temple's sustainability for at least 100 years without causing inconvenience to the devotees who flock to Vemulawada temple
WARANGAL: Endowments minister Konda Surekha on Thursday directed officials to develop the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada in accordance with the prepared master plan, which is to be implemented soon.
She chaired a review meeting attended by backward class welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Government Chief Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas, chief secretary of the endowment department Shailaja Ramayyar, commissioner Hanumanthu, temple executive officer Vinod, and other officials in Hyderabad.
Surekha emphasised that all development works should ensure the temple's sustainability for at least 100 years without causing inconvenience to the devotees who flock to Vemulawada temple.
She said that separate parking areas must be constructed near the temple for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and buses, along with meticulous attention to sanitation within the temple premises and its surroundings.
In addition to government funds, Surekha suggested that steps be taken to collect funds through CSR initiatives and donations to support the temple's development works.
The minister mentioned that she will discuss the sanctioning of funds for the temple's development works with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar instructed officials to undertake development works as per the suggestions provided by the Shrungeri Peetadhipathi. He also directed them to identify a suitable location for establishing a Veda Patasala near the temple.
Since the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit the temple on November 20 to lay the foundation stones for various development projects, officials were ordered to provide tight security at the temple.
