One dead, 2 critical after reactor blast in Arora pharma unit
HYDERABAD: A 42-year-old person lost his life while cleaning a reactor with methanol in a pharmaceutical unit, when an explosion took place and injured him and three others around 10.15 am on Wednesday.
The pharmaceutical unit, Arora pharma company, is in Suraram police station limits.
According to Suraram inspector Bharat Kumar, the deceased was identified as Anil Kumar, while the critically injured include Bala Ram, 51, and Gopichand, 30. The fourth person Srinivas Reddy, 46, is reported to be in a stable condition.
The police said that they would register a case against the company.
Majji Rajesh, a relative of one of the critically injured, said, “We do not know much about what happened but the doctors have told us that there is only a 10 per cent chance of survival.”
