Yadadri: The darshan of Lord Lakshminarasimha Swamy, the presiding deity of the Yadadri temple, is set to get hassle-free with the government introducing a facility to book quicker darshan and seva online. Tickets can be booked on the temple’s website www.yadadritemple.telangana.gov.in.

The decision was apparently prompted by long queues being witnessed at the temple, which is one of the most popular Hindu destinations in southern Telangana. Recently, the hilltop temple witnessed traffic jams when over 70,000 devotees visited the temple on a weekend.

The online booking could result in faster darshans which will result in few people staying atop Yadadri, whose capacity to accommodate a large crowd is limited.

According to a temple official, the devotees can book tickets for darshan and seva in the available slots on the day of their choice. The devotees must fill in their details such as gothra, mobile number, Aadhaar number and address.

Apart from Rs 150 VIP darshan tickets, devotees can buy online tickets for Sahasra Namarchana, Sri Narasimha Maha Homam and Suprabhata Seva.

Yadadri temple executive officer Bhaskar Rao said the rush of devotees to the temple has increased multiple times in the last few months. “We are making necessary arrangements to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees on the hill shrine. The online facility to book seva tickets will allow devotees to avoid standing in queues to buy ticket counters. It would also help in streamlining the rush of devotees at the temple.”
