Over 100 cybersecurity experts talk of privacy engineering
Hyderabad: Over 100 cybersecurity leaders and domain experts converged in Hyderabad on Friday to brainstorm on the critical need for privacy engineering in India's evolving digital landscape.
Opening the CCoE-DSCI Chapter Meet, Dr Sriram Birudavolu, CEO of Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE), highlighted the importance of privacy engineering in modern organisations and emphasised the conference's role in uniting industry leaders to discuss advancements in this essential field.
Hyderabad-based CCoE is a joint initiative of the Telangana government and Data Security Council of India (DSCI) that aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and capability building in cybersecurity and privacy.
G.T. Venkateshwar Rao, MD of Posidex Technologies, speaking at the event stressed the need for robust data protection, especially as data is increasingly used in agriculture and other sectors.
Abhilash Soundararajan, founder and CEO of Privasapien highlighted the role of differential privacy and reliable and responsible AI models in safeguarding data globally.
Niti Paul, regional DOP at Capgemini, and Soumick Bhattacharya, renowned cybersecurity and data privacy leader, provided persepectives on cybersecurity and data privacy leadership.
Sai Krishna, technical consultant at CCoE, spoke on the way ahead for privacy engineering. Jayesh Ranjan, special chief secretary, ITE&C department, spoke at the event.
